These terms govern your use of TreasureScout (the “Site”). By accessing or using the Site, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.
What TreasureScout is
TreasureScout is an informational tool. It surfaces publicly available listings from third-party marketplaces and presents price observations, fair-price estimates, and commentary derived from publicly observable data. TreasureScout is not a broker, agent, marketplace, or seller. It does not list items, take possession of inventory, process payments, or facilitate transactions.
No affiliation with marketplaces or sellers
TreasureScout is independent of, and not endorsed by or affiliated with, Reddit, eBay, Pinkbike, Reverb, Facebook Marketplace, Craigslist, ScubaBoard, or any other platform or seller linked from the Site. A link to a listing is not an endorsement of the listing, the seller, or the platform.
Your responsibility
Any transaction you enter into as a result of information on the Site is solely between you and the seller or platform. You are responsible for independently verifying everything that matters before you buy, including:
- Condition, authenticity, and specifications of the item
- Seller identity, reputation, and payment terms
- Shipping, import, warranty, and return policies
- Applicable laws, taxes, and regulations in your jurisdiction
Information provided “as is”
All information on the Site is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including without limitation warranties of accuracy, completeness, timeliness, availability, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. Listings may be sold, delisted, repriced, or mispriced by their sellers at any time. Price estimates may be wrong. The Site may be unavailable, delayed, or interrupted.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, TreasureScout and anyone associated with operating it shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages of any kind, including without limitation loss of money, loss of opportunity, loss of data, or loss of goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Site, your reliance on any information presented on the Site, any transaction you enter into with a third party, or any conduct of a third-party seller or platform. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or the limitation of certain damages; in those jurisdictions, liability is limited to the minimum permitted by law.
Intellectual property
The TreasureScout name, logo, copy, analysis, scoring, and presentation are protected by intellectual property laws. They may not be copied, reproduced, modified, or redistributed without permission. Listing content, images, and descriptions belong to the respective sellers or platforms and are shown for informational purposes.
Acceptable use
You agree not to scrape, crawl, or otherwise access the Site by automated means without permission; not to resell, relicense, or commercially redistribute data obtained from the Site; and not to use the Site to harass, mislead, or harm others. Abuse may result in loss of access.
Changes
These terms may be updated from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the “last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Site after an update means you accept the revised terms.
